5 SEC REVIEW | EXTRACTION 2

EXTRACTION 2
The sequel picks up from where the first one ended but the story is no way connected from the first one, except that it may have expounded on the personal struggles of Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) and has put some sort of a closure into it.

Technically, although we were all quite surprised and amazed with the "single shot" technique that part one had us experienced, this one actually put viewers right in the middle of all the action and tension better.

Part one gave us a 12-minute single take while Extraction 2 almost doubled the time with 21 minutes in total of non-stop excitement. Kudos to Sam Hargrave for keeping up with the expectation. The only break you'll have in this film was the first couple of minutes at the start of the film.

"I want to be brave like dad"

There are two lines in the film that I liked. "I want to be brave like dad" was one. Instantly tying the movie to the Father's Day celebration. One single line that provided Tyler redemption from his grief and broken the hearts of many viewers.

The other line: "People pay me to do what they can’t" is more of a personal call to action and an ode to self-worth.

Extraction is going to be back for a third film. A 30-minute single-take perhaps? 😉

5/5 🔥
