Even if this film is about a bunch of tween girls, I easily felt right at home because the story was set in the late 90s with lots of amazing songs from the period and even from way back the mid-80s. It's a new year themed movie with the Y2K scare as a backdrop. It talks heavily about self-discoveries and dealing with a loss. For the zoomers BTW, Mixtapes are originally an 80s thing - you can google for the definition 😁
