GUILLERMO DEL TORO'S PINOCCHIO 2022
To those saying that this film will make us forget all the other movies made about the wooden puppet boy including the ones made by Disney - well, you're probably correct! From the stop-motion animation down to the way it was written, it's really very amazing. This version made me realize how sad the story of Pinocchio is. The historical references and backdrop is also on the dot. They could've done more with the music because all the songs are forgettable, but overall, this is a fantastic adaptation that will make you tear up a little, laugh a little and appreciate life even more.
