SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS
The new Shazam movie teases on two things - its claim on the Captain Marvel superhero name - a Philly bystander actually called him by that title while he's battling the wood dragon Ladon and Kalypso (Lucy Liu). The second one can be found during the end credit showing Shazam being recruited to the Justice Society which now ties the film closer to Black Adam. That's probably up next since Mister Mind is still crawling its way to forming a plan to rule the world with Doctor Sivana (Mark Strong) who is still currently in prison. Fury of the Gods follows the same humor-filled and straight-from-the-comic-book tone of the first film, although this one has added a little bit more drama courtesy of Billy (Asher Angel) and Freddie (Jack Dylan Grazer). Helen Mirren (Hespera) and Rachel Zegler (Anthea) together with Kalypso plays the vengeful three daughters of Atlas who will be instrumental in making Billy Batson discover the god inside of him. We also found out that the wizard shazam (Djimon Hounsou) is still alive and that Diana (Gal Gadot) also has the power to restore the powers of the Gods through the staff. Overall, the movie feels just right!
