THANKSGIVING 2023
I believe that Director/Producer Eli Roth just gave birth to another cult-classic slasher movie! I can see how easily THANKSGIVING can have several sequels after this, regardless of initial audience reception. And that the axe wielding "John Carver" will be the next generation's "man in the mask" nightmare figure comparable to "Jason" of Friday the 13th, "Michael Myers" of Halloween, "Ghostface" of Scream, "Ben Willis" of I Know What You Did Last Summer, and "Freddie Krueger" of A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Veterans Patrick Dempsey, Gina Gershon and Rick Hoffman lead a cast of fresh young actors and social media darlings such as Addison Rae and Milo Manheim who played Zed in the Disney Zombies film series.
In fairness, the film has got me guessing who Carver is until the 2nd half of screen time. It's a good film to revive the slasher era, even better than the new Scream movie.
