HELLBOY 2019

Hellboy, the 2019 reboot lacks the meat offered by Guillermo Del Toro's version with Ron Perlman in the title role in Hellboy (2004) and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008).

But it does offer something else, bloody gore and some new characters straight from the comic book pages like Alice Monagham (Sasha Lane), Ben Daimio (Daniel Dae Kim), the Gruagach, Lobster Johnson (Thomas Haden Church), Lady Hatton (Sophie Okonedo) and the rest of the Osiris Club PLUS Nimue the Blood Queen (Milla Jovovich) or the Lady of the Lake, King Arthur and Merlin.

Story predates the discovery of Abe Sapien. Directed by Neil Marshall, Hellboy is magnificently portrayed by David Harbour (Stranger Things, Jim Hopper). It has an R rating and that's because you'll see lots of blood and dismembered body parts in this movie. A lot of hell actually!

Predictable but still an awesome watch.
